Looks exactly like in the promo pics, except that she is a shade greener in person than on-camera. I tried playing with the settings on my phone camera to get it colour accurate but I'm still off. But have no fear, it is the miku blue we all know and love! Oh and the base she comes with is platform and blue instead of flat clear acrylic. She is removable from the base though; she stands on a single hexagonal pin sticking out of her foot in case you want to find a replacement base. Except, the pin on mine wasn't perfectly shaped so my base actually cracked when I tried putting her back in after taking pics for this review. So uh, maybe don't try taking her in/out of the base too much. (Maybe she's easier to put in now...? /cope) Something that's hard to see in the promo pics is that the pigtails of her bag have pockets at the end and her hands are tucked inside. They even molded buttons on those pockets!
Almost flawless paint job—there's a spot of blue on her black skirt on mine. But that tiny dot is well within the acceptable margin of error to me, esp for a sub $100 figure.
The sparkle decal and colours in her eyes makes her an eyecatching piece despite her chibi size. The ends of her hair are subtly air brushed a lighter colour, and her hair has a few sparkle decals; both making her hair not just a boring blue mass. She's the same height as a nendoroid but has a fatter head —which arguably makes her even cuter. (Sorry, I don't have a Miku nendo so I can't do a direct Miku vs Miku, but here's my Prosciutto)
The box she comes in isn't anything impressive. It's just a step above a plain white box, and the small window + protective plastic wrap around her prevents you from actually get a good look. (I would recreate it but I've already cracked the base taking her out once for this review haha...) But I suppose it encourages you to take her out of the box instead of trapping her in there to keep her mint? Good thing imo, because she's too adorable and vibrant to keep tucked in box prison.
Super happy with this figure, and for such a low price point too! To all fans of miku/cute figures, I can't recommend this figure enough!
