What are perler beads?
Perler beads, also called fuse beads or melty beads (the name you'll see at Kmart, Officeworks and Big W in Australia), Hama beads, or 拼豆 (pindou) in Chinese, are small plastic beads you arrange on a pegboard to build pixel-art pictures. Once your design is finished, we iron it so the beads melt together into one solid piece you can keep.
All beads, pegboards and tools are included, no experience needed. Bring your own pattern or photo if you have one in mind, or pick one of our easy in-store patterns.

Frequently asked questions
What are perler beads?
Small plastic beads (also called fuse beads, melty beads, Hama beads, or 拼豆 in Chinese) that you arrange on a pegboard into a pixel-art design. Once you're happy with it, we iron it so the beads fuse into one solid piece.
How long does a piece take?
It depends on the design and how many people are working on it. Simple pieces can take under an hour, bigger ones longer. Sessions are booked in 30-minute steps from a 1-hour minimum, and you can always ask to extend on the day if there's room.
Is it suitable for kids?
Yes. Our staff give clear, simple instructions and do the ironing for everyone. Children under 12 just need an adult from their group to stay and supervise for the whole session.
Do I need to book?
Booking isn't required, but it's cheaper: $9.90 per hour per person with a booking, versus $15 per hour for walk-ins. No booking fee either way.
Do I need to bring anything?
No. All beads, pegboards and tools are provided, and no prior skill is needed, it's totally beginner friendly. You're welcome to bring your own pattern or photo if you have one in mind, and we also have easy patterns ready to pick in store.
Can I take it home the same day?
Yes. Once your piece is ironed it's ready to go.
Can I make it into a keychain or magnet?
Yes, at no extra cost. Just let our staff know when you finish.
Can I extend my session?
Just ask in store. If the room isn't fully booked, we're happy to extend you on the day.
