Description
Introducing the Demon Slayer Uzui Tengen 32cm(H) GK Statue from Proprieter Secret Studio. This intricately designed statue brings the character Uzui Tengen to life in stunning detail.
Character
Uzui Tengen – a prominent character from the Demon Slayer series, known for his unique personality and exceptional swordsmanship skills.
Series
Demon Slayer – an immensely popular anime and manga series that follows the adventures of demon slayers as they combat evil spirits.
Size/Scale
The statue stands at 32cm in height, capturing the essence of Uzui Tengen’s dynamic presence. Its meticulous craftsmanship and attention to detail make it a must-have collectible for fans of the series.
Also, assembly is really easy. The connections are all made in a unique shape that allow insertion only one way so you can’t put it in wrong and then struggle to take it out and reorient it. Plus, you don’t have to jam the piece in, possibly breaking it, just to make it stay in place because the connections are also magnetic allowing you to easily switch out weapons, limbs and even faces to express different emotions.
The bases are simple in terms of assembly, but they show an incredible amount of detail in the sculpting and painting. The bases also seem to be, on average, a bit more dynamic as well.
In this particular figure, the musculature is especially important, as Izui Tensen is seen as a real ‘ikeman’ character. The muscles, in particular the arms are well defined using a combination of sculpting and paint giving realistic definition to his body. I might also add that the ‘floatie’ that he is setting on is painted in a glossy tone that actually looks like inflated plastic and reflects light in a similar manner. The addition of a multi-coloured beach ball is also a plus as it adds to the fun and active nature of the figure.
Sometimes anime figures can present real challenges in the degree to which realism is reflected as opposed to retaining the ‘drawn’ look of the character. This piece definitely hits a nice compromise between them with the face remaining very similar to the anime, while the body is quite realistic in terms of anatomy.
Be warned that the model is a castoff but can be easily used with or without clothing. The clothing is thoughtfully constructed to the point that even the pants are split to allow them to be slipped over the awkwardly crossed legs with minimal difficulty.
Overall, this figure is well designed, but not for the faint of heart as the cost is over AUD 500. However, if this is a series that you are interested in, you would be hard pressed to find a better figure for your money.
