Description
The FuRyu Spice and Wolf Holo Japanese Doll Figure is a fully completed and painted figure featuring an exquisite representation of Holo from “Spice and Wolf”.
Caught in a lively pose as if dancing at a summer festival, Holo holds a sheaf of wheat in one hand. Her impressive tail and flowing hair, as well as the detailed flower decoration in her hair, have been meticulously crafted to capture Holo’s delightful charm.
The prototype of her outfit was crafted by renowned festival doll craftsman, Heian Juho. Incorporating traditional Japanese dance movements into the design, the rotation of her kimono hem adds a subtle yet remarkable sense of motion and elegance to the figure.
The fabric used for her kimono has been dyed using the Kata Yuzen technique. Reflecting the wise wolf who governs fertility, the pattern on the kimono illustrates motifs from all four seasons. The primary color of the fabric is noble purple, which is carefully dyed manually at the Kyoto-based Yuzen factory by Nishimura Shoji Shoten, a distinguished textile merchant.
The complementary obi worn by Holo is made of luxurious gold brocade fabric supplied by Bando Shoten, another distinguished textile merchant in Kyoto. A variety of floral patterns are woven into the white base, providing a delightful contrast to the calm kimono colors with a vibrant hint of lime-green.
With its painstaking attention to detail, this beautiful 1/4 scale figure of Holo, crafted by FuRyu’s F:NEX series, would undoubtedly become a prized item in your collection.
